Session 1 – Beyond 2030: what will it take to deliver real change?

A forward-looking reflection on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda: what has worked, where the greatest gaps remain, and how the international community should build on these experiences. The introduction will also outline emerging global discussions on Beyond GDP, the evolving understanding of progress and well-being, and the growing importance of evidence-informed policymaking in shaping the post-2030 development framework.

Drawing on Poland's experience while reflecting broader international trends, the introduction will highlight key development challenges, strategic priorities and the role of evidence in designing, implementing and evaluating public policies. It will also set the stage for a discussion on the challenges that the European Union and individual countries increasingly face in common, and the value of learning from one another.
