From Data to Impact: Turning Lessons into Action for Sustainable Future

Statistics Poland is the central statistical office of Poland and the main public statistics authority responsible for collecting, processing, and disseminating official statistical data on the country’s socio-economic situation, environment, and population.

As a key partner in monitoring the 2030 Agenda, Statistics Poland plays a leading role in sustainable development. It develops and publishes national indicators for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), provides high-quality data for evidence-based policymaking, and supports the preparation of reports on Poland’s progress toward sustainability. Through close cooperation with scientific institutions, universities, and international organizations, Statistics Poland bridges the gap between data producers and the research community, ensuring that reliable statistics inform academic research, public policy, and strategic decisions.

In this conference, Statistics Poland brings its extensive expertise in transforming data into actionable insights for a sustainable future.

ASECU – Association of South Eastern Europe Economic Universities is an international academic network that brings together economic universities and faculties from South, Eastern Europe and the Black Sea region. Founded to promote excellence in economic education and research, ASECU currently unites 65 prestigious universities from more than 20 countries.

ASECU plays a vital role in advancing sustainable development through research, knowledge exchange, and the academic education of young generations. By fostering collaboration among academics, it supports multidisciplinary studies on international economic relations, cross-regional collaboration, economic development focusing on environmental and social sustainability, and inclusive growth. The Association actively contributes to the post-2030 development agenda by encouraging evidence-based dialogue and strengthening the link between academia and policy-making, especially through its Campaign for the Future, initiated in 2025.

Its partnership with Statistics Poland in organizing this conference reflects ASECU’s strong commitment to turning research and data into concrete actions for a more sustainable and prosperous region.
